# How to create a CTA poll?

A [CTA poll](https://blog.linko.me/how-to-create-a-cta-overlay/#how-to-create-a-cta-poll) is an interactive overlay that allows you to engage users by asking them a question and offering answer options.

It’s an effective way to gather feedback, opinions, or demographic data while keeping your audience involved.

This tool can help you gather insights to improve products, services, or content strategies.

## Steps to create a poll popup:

**Step 1: Name your CTA**

- Choose a name for your poll. This is for your reference and won’t be visible to users.

**Step 2: Write your question**

- Create a clear and concise question for your audience.

**Step 3: Provide answer options**

- Add up to 10 options for users to select from. To add more, click “Add Option.” Leave fields blank to ignore them.

**Step 4: (Optional) Customize text labels**

- If your audience speaks a different language, customize text labels in their native language for better understanding.

**Step 5: (Optional) Write a thank-you message**

- You can add a thank-you message, such as “Thank you for participating!” Leave this blank to disable it.

**Step 6: Customize the appearance**

- Adjust the colors and design of your poll to match your brand’s look and feel.

**Step 7: Choose the overlay position**

- Decide where the poll will appear on the page: top left, top right, bottom left, or bottom right.

**Step 8: Click the Create button**

- Once all settings are in place, click **Create** to activate your poll.
