How to Rotate a Link?

You can rotate a link using Linko’s A/B testing feature or the campaign link rotator option.

The A/B testing tool (available in the Business plan, $49/mo) lets you split traffic between multiple URLs.

If you’re on the Individual plan ($20/mo), you can also rotate links randomly by assigning them to a campaign.

Both methods help share traffic across different pages, offers, or destinations.

:cyclone: What does link rotation mean?

Link rotation means sending each click to a different destination link based on certain rules—like splitting traffic 50/50 between two landing pages.

It’s great for A/B testing, affiliate offers, or showing rotating content to your audience without changing the link each time.

:wrench: Method 1: Use A/B Testing (Business Plan)

If you’re on the Business plan ($49/month), you get access to the A/B testing feature. Here’s how to use it:

  1. Log in to your Linko dashboard.

  2. Go for link shortening or edit an existing one.

  3. Navigate to the A/B Testing option.

  4. Add two or more destination URLs and assign each a weight (e.g., 50% / 50%).

  5. Save the link.

Every visitor will now be sent to one of the URLs based on the weights you assigned. It’s perfect for testing which landing page converts better or which offer gets more clicks.

:repeat_button: Method 2: Use Campaign Rotation (Individual Plan)

If you’re on the Individual plan ($20/month), you can still rotate links using the campaign feature:

  1. Create a campaign from your dashboard.

  2. Inside that campaign, add multiple short links.

  3. Enable the “link rotator” option.

  4. Now, every time someone clicks the campaign rotato link, they’re randomly redirected to one of the associated links.

This is ideal for sharing traffic across multiple promotions, affiliate links, or rotating offers for email blasts.

:white_check_mark: Final Tip

If you’re split-testing for performance, A/B testing gives more control with analytics and weight distribution.

But if you just want to rotate links evenly or randomly, the campaign method also works well with less setup.
