I have added my branded domain, but it is still not working.
Before troubleshooting your branded-domain, please allow some time for the
DNS propagation to complete.
DNS propagation is the time it takes for changes made to your domain’s DNS settings to be updated and spread across the internet.
When you update DNS records (like adding a new domain or changing DNS settings), it can take anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours for these changes to fully propagate and become active globally.
This process affects how quickly your domain can be accessed with its new configuration.
However, this is not all. After adding your domain to your account, we also need to add your branded domain or sub-domains to our Plesk server.
We usually add new branded domains immediately, but sometimes it could take up to 24 hours for us to monitor and add a domain to our Plesk server.
So we kindly request you to be patient.
If your domain isn’t active after 24 hours, contact Linko support for assistance.
How to debug your domain set up?
-
Ensure that your domain or sub-domains are properly configured and pointing to Linko’s domain [ linko.me ].
-
Verify that the “Proxied Status” is enabled for your domain/sub-domains in Cloudflare.
-
Check if the encryption mode is set to Full instead of Flexible under the SSL/TLS tab in Cloudflare.
Check out the domain DNS configuration to make sure these steps are configured properly.
How to check if your domain is working?
After adding your domain to your Linko account, don’t configure the root domain just yet.
Instead, open your branded domain in an incognito window and see if it redirects to the DNS check page at Linko.
If the redirection is successful and you see the DNS check page, it means your branded domain’s DNS settings are correct, and the SSL certificate is functioning properly.
You can also shorten a link to test whether your branded domain is fully operational.
